The work entailed installing a new bespoke corridor lighting system to the lower floors of the main hospital building.
The work had to be carried out whilst the corridors were in full use by staff & patients some of them on trolleys!
The new lighting consisted of runs of continuous corner 2 compartment trunking mild steel cornice body with integral 2 x 49Watt T5 florescent lamps, 8 Watt non maintain emergency units & PIR Master/Slave Sensors
The new lighting was designed for corridor function with presence detection to cover all open areas and concealed recesses. This was achieved by using a number of strategically placed master and associated slave sensors within the .
Health & Safety was a major concern during the installation and great care had to be taken to protect the staff and patients using the corridors.
